I am having terrible results with my new Visiontek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti-4600 Graphics/Video capture board. I think this card is the only top-end card like it that includes an S-video input to view incoming Video/TV without the need for another video capture board. It uses the nVidia WDM 1.08 driver and a special VIVO (video in/video out S-adapter) and although the video card gives stellar performance in all other areas, the video capture using PowerVCR II and other software is very unreliable. When capturing video, the card records the data fine, but the problem is in the display of the video-in signal on my Windows XP system on an Athlon XP 1900+ system, especially when recording is initiated. The display also freezes frequently, and can sometimes display a split image.
I must assume this is a WDM driver issue (as I have no reason to believe the card is malfunctioning). My main question out here is to ask if anyone knows how I can obtain a beta version of the new nVidia WDM drivers (post v1.08)?
Once again, this is a new type of package Visiontek has put together, and I am not surprised to see bugs, but aside from the help Visiontek is claiming to be working on for me, I could use some other feedback, and am interested in knowing if others out there are experiencing similar problems. 3-27-2002
