: YES! they will work. these drives are the best! I ordered 2 of them for 17 bucks each. I had an older easy 3200 drive that also works in XP. I don't even use compatability mode. Just use the Windows 95/98 backup software. It will work good.

Can you tell me more about how you got your DittoMax to work? I have Win XP Home Edition and it simply will not recognise the existence of my DittoMax 7Gb external parallel port drive. I have installed Ditto98.exe but, although the software seems to function OK, it cannot find my tape drive either.
