: I desperate need of drivers for a Nomai 540 Removable Hard Disk. Can anyone help me out?
I have a Nomai 540 for Macintosh and have the original installed floppy. It is a simple systems extension that can be dragged into a system folder's extensions folder.
I have another problem.
My Nomai was working fine on my Mac 630 but when I tried to run it on a Mac 7500 PPC it would not work. I can get some disk activity if its the ONLY item in the SCSI chain but is otherwise not recognized by the system. Neither Norton or Silver Lining can 'see' it. When I poll th edrive it does not return a model or version number as if there is a problem.
I tried a free SCSI ID number and also switched its location in the SCSI chain just to assure it was not a cabling thing.
I'm wondering of I need a different driver extension for the Mac PPC series of computers.
Mind you, it was working fine on the older 68k machine. All I did was switch out the CPU unit and plugged in the same SCSI chain that I had before.
A 4 GB LaCie which is on the same chain is working fine as is a scanner.
PS - e-mail replied welcome.
