Hi,
i just bought a Compaq Dat-streamer from a friend. I am using
it on a NCR/Symbios SCSI2 Controller Card with MS-backup and
Backup2001pro. It worked fine with DDS1 -&- DDS2 Tapes, but
when i want use a DDS3-Tape(24GB) i am getting a strange noise
(like crunching) from the tapedrive and the transfer interrupts
anywhere, causing an error -tapeerror, or deviceerror....
I just tried Sony DDS3-Tapes(12/24GB) should i use others
(BASF,..)? I am getting confused - a firmware upgrade changed
nothing. I am looking for any help -thanx
