I am using the IBM 4326NP/ RP internal SCSI-2 tape drive for backups. It is on a WinNT 4.0 workstation with SP6. Drive works fine and I can backup data ok.
The problem is that it would not backup anything over 4Gb on 120m tapes. It should do it using hardware compression. It doesn't! It stips at 4Gb. I did setup the drive to use hardware compression and it's not doing it. Do I need some drivers? Right now, it uses the drivers that Win NT provided by itself.
Another thing is, if I'm trying to backup Samba shares, it doesn't support it while using BackupExec. Those shares are graied out! I can though back them up with the crapy WinNT backup software :P
IBM doesn't give me anything for this drive... :((
