Darel, I had a very similar situation, trying to read tapes from a Colorado 350 drive that was saved on old software. I downloaded the latest version of software from www.veritas.com ( version 4.2 , 30 day trial ) and was able to successfully restore the data to a Win98 PC, hope this helps.
