: Does anybody have a Windows 98 driver for the AIWA TD-20001 SCSI Tape Backup Unit? Let me know.

Mike,
You don't need a driver to use the tape drive--just a backup application. I use both Cheyenne Backup for Windows 9x
and Seagate (now Veritas) Backup Exec with my AIWA TD20001 tape drives and they work
flawlessly. If you just want to get the silly "Unknown Device" characteristic to go away and you're using an
Adaptec SCSI host adapter, install EZ-SCSI 4.x or 5.x. Both programs come with generic INF files
that will identify the SCSI tape drive after the product is installed.
