I'm having problems getting my Colorado 8GBi working on
my RH 6.2 I386 system. It is installed as the secondary
slave on an old Gateway G-6 (Pentium II) system. I've
compiled kernel 2.2.16 with ide-tape as a loadable
module. Whenever I try to tar -cvf /dev/ht0 /filesys,
I get the following:

Jun 14 17:09:43 kingpin kernel: ide-tape: ht0: I/O error, pc = a, key = 2, asc = 3a, ascq = 0
Jun 14 17:09:43 kingpin last message repeated 20 times
Jun 14 17:09:43 kingpin kernel: ide-tape: ht0: I/O error, pc = 10, key = 2, asc = 3a, ascq = 0
Jun 14 17:09:43 kingpin kernel: ide-tape: Couldn't write a filemark
Jun 14 17:09:43 kingpin kernel: ide-tape: Block location is unknown to the tape

Does anyone have this running?

Greg
