Since my last tape backup (a month ago, on a Connor QIC-3020 tape drive), the date format within Seagate Backup Exec v5.5 has changed when selecting files, to a colon-separated US convention, e.g.:

5: 2:88 (2nd May 1988)

when previously it used to be UK-style, similar to:

2/5/88

The change means a risk of date selection errors. I am not aware of any recent date format changes in any of my other software. Does anyone know how I can revert back ?

For reference, the main Windows 95 updates since the last backup have been:

a) IE5 to v5.00.2919.6307IC plus 128-bit encryption,
b) Kernel via W95KRNLUPD.EXE (Windows Socket Update - Kernel 32).
