All new backup SW versions from Seagate do longer work with my two EXB8500 & EXB8500C tapes. The drives begin to work but when start writing, both BE 4.2a under Win98 or the integrated BE under Win2000 stops with different error messages (has something to do with that the media is not supported). I've tried different original EXB tapes (112m).
Under NT 4.0 and BE 6.11, both tapes are working !!!
No help from EXABYTE
please help (reply also to my e-mail address)
