90% of time you will not need drivers for standard tape
drives. Ie: those that run off; floppy controlers, scsi
cards, ide ports, parralle /printer ports.

The exception being those that are hi performance tape
drives and tape libraries, vcr backup systems and reel
to reel drives.

What you really need is, "tape backup software". Which
software to get depends on your OS, your needs, and
how much you can afford. Decent tape software cost
between $35 - $395 US.

Where to find tape software: try "www.davecentral.com"
there you will forty or so links to various products.

If you have one of the exotic tape drives, try NovaStore
at www.novastore.com but be forewarned it ain't cheap!

Hope this helps;
