I have just installed an old Iomega Ditto Model IO80Fi Tape Drive in my Windows 98 computer. The software is called Ditto Tools Version 5.1A.

When I order the program to refresh or rebuild the directory from a tape made on another machine using W95, after a long time with the tape running back and forth, I get a message:

''This cartridge is formatted and readable but the header contains invalid information. Insert another cartridge to continue this operation.''

Is this because of the difference in machines or operating systems? Any advice on how to get the data off this and other similar tapes?
