The above subject results from a Sound Test in DirectX Diagnostic Tool: Tab: Sound - Test DirectSound: Notes:
*No driver problems found. *DirectSound test results: Failure at step 19 (User verification software): HRESULT=0x00000000 (Unknown error)

SOUND DEVICE: SoundBlaster Pro Direct Sound Driver (220)
Device ID: ROOT\*PNPB002\0000; ProductID: 69; Type: VXD

DRIVER: MSSBLST.VXD; Version: 4.03.00.2068 (English): Provider; Microsoft; Other Files: mssblst.vxd

Would someone please explain what the (Unknown error) means? Also, please provide proceedures to implement corrective action. The DirectSound test results does not emit any sound through my speakers. Thus I am assuming the "error" is the reason. Sound from playing CD's on my CD ROM seems to be okay. Any ideas? Thank you.
