YOU NEED THE ACTUAL DRIVER TO BE INSTALLED - IF YOU ARE RECEIVING MESSAGES LIKE NEW HARDWARE DETECTED JUST SIMPLY UNPLUG THE SPEAKER BOX FROM THE TOWER. I DO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM - CAN'T FIND THE DRIVER OVER THE INTERNET - SAME TYPE OF DRIVER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR - MODEL YS 200 - JUST GET A NEW ONE - THAT ALL YOU CAN DO - ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO KNOW YOU CAN EMAIL ME. : : : I recently bought a used Pentium II (440 BX chipset) box and after installing WIN 98 SE it now finds a new audio adapter device on every startup, and asks for a driver. It identifies the new found device as a "CMI 8330/C3D Audio Adapter". There is no separate sound card in this box so I don't know what MFR I'm dealing with (CMI does not seem to be an audio mfr), the audio in/out jacks are just on a blank metal strip with a ribbon cable going to a Trident 3D Image 9750 video card. I found and downloaded the driver for the Trident card, but after reinstalling it WIN 98 is still asking for the "CMI 8330/C3D audio adapter" driver. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)
