Probably because the manufacturer takes no responsibility (public statement on their website to that effect) for the drivers that make it either work, or turn it into a useless, albeit expensive piece of metal. And of course, how dare anyone think MS would have drivers; their solution is "call your hardware manufacturer". Getting tired of PC companies puting in components that are crap, and have zero ownership of making sure they actually work right.
