Hello,
After a long time of searching, i've finally found what worked for me. When I first got XP, only mp3 files of 64 Kb would play. Among other sounds such as Windows Sounds. You can go to

complete list of drivers. It is the one named 3000 and just download the XP version. Or, you can go through my direct link here:http://www.labway.com/Drivers/Xwave3000/Qs3A-XP_2.zip

I hope that this works for you and I do have to say that installing the driver is not as easy as usual. I'm sorry, but I cannot help you install it simply because I don't want to damage any other persons system but also because you must continue anyway even though XWave did not have the driver digitally signed.Really hope that helps and I'm sure glad I found it because I didn't want to have to go out and buy a new sound card for no reason. Good Luck!
