Have been experiencing a recurring problem with TWAIN scanner driver (mirascan 3.02/3.41) that seems to result from a conflict between msgsrv32.exe and twunk_16.exe and/or Outlook 2000. Am running Win98 SE on a Dell Dimension 4100 w/128MB RAM, PIII 933MHZ processor, 20GB HD. Scanner is an Acer Prisa 320P.

On first boot, before any other programs are loaded/run, scanner drivers operate as expected. Can scan multiple times, using different programs. However,
once Outlook 2000 is started, no more scans. The Mirascan program locks; twunk_16 must be exited manually using Close Program; and whatever image acquisition program is in use must also be exited manually.

There is no error message that is associated with this problem. Have downloaded current/most recent driver from Acer, talked to Acer support (they suggested
that it was a system resource problem but I cannot see evidence w/60% free); and researched MS KB with no definite results.

Would love to find out what, if anything I can do besides buy a new scanner . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
