It seems to be true. But, if you register at www.driverguide.com and follow the attached link, you can download an updated version of the 3300c drivers (including PrecisionScan LT) that work perfectly with Windows 2000.

: Hi,
: I'm running a Win3K system, and as far as I understood, this is what is needed in order to use a ScanJet 3300c on my system:
: The hp website does not offer a Win2K version of the scanning software for ScanJet 3300c (without which the scanner is useless of course). According to hp, I should install Win98, install the scanning software (which can be installed ONLY under win98/95), then upgrade to Win2K, and THEN use a patch they provide me to allow the already-installed scanning software to work properly under the new OS.
: Since I'm using a clean-installed Win2K, according to hp, I cannot install the scanning software for the ScanJet 3300c (the hp PrecisionScan LT).

: Is that actually true???
