first you have to uninstall vistascan first then re-boot. after you go to this site

www.umax.de/support/drivers.htm

and you chose the scanner model and the win that you have. download the 355u vscan , install and restart pc. it should work.

because I upgrade to xp pro and couddnt use my astra 2200 until i found the vscan there and did has follow on the site
