I just upgraded to Windows 2000 professional so I can use the scanner on the USB port. I have a UMAX Astra 2200. The scanner does not work on my computer I have downloaded VISTASCAN 3.53/3.54/3.55 and the updater file. I have also download the PV8630.sys file. I have tried all sorts of combintions but keep getting the "it may work but can't load the divers - error 31" message and of course it does not work. I have tried emailing Umax but do not get any answer.
