Have you had any success setting it up through the printer (parallel) port?

: I know this scanner is old, but, I would still like to get it to work. Sometimes it does, sometimes not.

: Here is my curent setup:

: ~daisy chaining it thru a Minolta Scan Dual, and it's scsi card
: ~Using HP's DeskscanII 2.8 software
: ~Drivers installed are 1) HP Scanjet 4c/3c 4.00.008
: and WIN98 installed (4) HP C2520A 4.00.008 drivers. Do not know why WIN98 has installed these drivers more than once after recognizing 'new device found'

: Sometimes this scanner runs, but most times it hangs up after starting a scan thru Deskscan II. I then have to reboot to 'clear' the connection. I have also noticed if I 'jiggle' the SCSI cable, it will complete it's scan. But quite honestly I'm not sure if it is a cable problem or driver/software problem.

: Anyone out there running this old scanner sucessfully on their PC with WIN98? I would love to hear from you, thanks.
