: : have the same error here with Win98SE.
at one point a message appeared telling me to reinstall the drivers. However seeing the earlier posts I see that does not solve the dilema. My unit was working just a few days earlier so I can't see why the drivers would need reinstalling. It is more likely a switch flag problem in the registry. By the way I am using my scanner in the Parallel mode.
Updated and reinstalled drivers. No help so far.
