He Dan - I have this problem with the old ISA-Card; just got this scanner, but it wont do - seems these drivers for the SCSI-Card and for the the scanner make trouble? Your old configuration didnt make any trouble?

: I recently replaced my old ISA SCSI card that came with my Scorpio scanner with a Adaptec PCI SCSI 2906 card. I also moved everything to a new computer, 800MHZ PIII. Everything works fine EXCEPT, the scanner HAS to be on before the computer is booted up otherwise the SCSI card wont recognize the scanner...on my old system it would. Also, if after booting the computer up with the scanner on, Win 98SE tries to install the driver for the scanner and looks for a non-exsistant INF file. The actual driver was already loaded when the system booted but it goes through this anyways. It then installs the scanner as "Unknown device" or as "Relisys Scorpio" but with no driver attatched to it. All this came about AFTER the new SCSI card was installed. Anyone have any clues as to whats going on and maybe how to fix it?
