: : Im also experiencing the same problem...
: : I used to have a Astra 1220P which worked perfectly under windows 98. Now I try to install it in ME and the drivers simply crash my computer.
: : Ive found a so called driver for ME in list (from ) but it didnt work either.
: : Also looking for help!

: o.k, I hope this helps you like it did for me first of all go to this site and download the first selection
: there are only 2 select the first it is a big file 8 megebytes (make sure you have selected software for 1220p scanner and for windows 98/me.
: What I did next was to locate the old file folder named vistascan and put the just downloaded (self extacting file in this folder and then extracted it. Youll notice several new files and folders select the one named DISC1 open it and find the setup file called VSSETUP run it following the on screen propmts. Now this is where it became a problem for me. After running the program windows would lock up. I had to restart my computer about 4 times before I got back into windows ME succesfully.(also somwhere along the rebooting I disconnected the printer cable for the computer but I do not think that this is nessary) Agter getting into Windows you should see an ICON of a scanner on the system tray. Next find (IMAGING) in your assorries folder open it select (SELECT SCANNER) select VISTASCAN 3.55 after which select scan.
: It works fine for me. Let me know how you made out.
