I have taken tips from a great many people who are more knowledgeable than I on the subject of printer installation on Linux systems. They all tell me that the reason I can not get output to the printer is due to a printtool problem with regard to the driver. I am fairly new at working with Linux and am unfamiliar with where the drivers are stored and which ones I will need to sucessfully print via a USB port on my iMac. I have selected what I thought to be the proper printer driver in printtool and have noticed that when I print test pages I do not receive errors and the job is recorded in the print job administrator as being queued, but alas----no output from the printer. HELP!!!!
