The Lexmark Z12 is what's known as a WinPrinter. It requires a special driver in Windows in order to print. Basically a dumb device which has your system doing most of the work. Manufacturers do this to reduce costs. That's why you got it so cheap. Unless someone hacks the thing and writes a driver or Lexmark comes up with a driver, you have a desktop paperweight under Linux or NT. Sorry, but the thing doesn't emulate anything useful you can use, including postscript.

I found this on a site I was browsing trying to find an NT driver for a shitty z12 printer I was given.

: Hi All,

: Does anybody knows where i can get NT drivers for a Lexmark 2050 inkjet. Please don't send me to Lexmark.com as they only have drivers for 3.x,95,98,ME & 2000.

: Any help will be greatly appreciated.
