It seems I will be the fourth one to submitt this type information about X73 drivers with XP.
I did talk to lexmark about this but they were reluctant to admit that it is the driver that is causing the problem. So far I am not aware of any solution for this one but do keep me posted if anyone finds a solution and I will do the same.
