: Hello,

: I'm looking for a driver for the Compaq IJ650 for linux.
: I'm running version 2.4.3, if that matters.

: Thanks for the help,
: Eric

I found the Lexmark driver to work very well under Redhat 7.2/7.3. I found also that it worked better if you do not install enscript first. With enscript you have to change the print command in Mozilla every time you want to print, but without having installed enscript it complains during install but can be forced. After you force it it works in everything I've tried. Look in the README to find out how to change/align cartridges, adjust quality, clean printheads, etc.

When I installed enscript, I could not uninstall enscript and reinstall printer driver satisfactorily, but since I am new to Linux I simply did a clean re-install.
