The LJ3100 doesn't have a "driver only" solution. You have to install the complete Jetsuite Pro software. The latest version of that software (Version 179.5 available from HP on CD only) will
run on XP as long as the printer is connected to that system. If you have the printer as a shared
device elsewhere on a network, good luck ... I haven't got it to work yet (it sends the print file to the printer server apparently correctly
but the print queue on that machine fails).

Note when you install the Jetsuite software,
use the setup32.exe from the NT directory on the cd and read the readme file first (in the root
directory I think). During the install you get an "unapproved software" error from XP but HP says to keep going and it does install OK.
