In our company where we have 4 BJC5000 printers, XP, and we use the Windows 2000 drivers with no problems. As stated before, you need to use a zip program to extract the Win2000 drivers to a folder. Remember that folder location and go to printer setup and add a printer.

Now select a local printer and uncheck the Plug and play option. Press next to select the port, then when you get to the install printer software, select "Have Disk". Go to your folder where you saved the Win2000 driver and select the OEMSETUP.INF file. Press ok. You will then see some xp warnings, ignore these and continue with the installation.

Next thing if all works correctly is a working printer. By the way, if you upgraded to XP without a clean install, then you might have some problems getting the driver to work. One system we had was done this way and I could not get the Win2000 driver to work correctly. The clean xp installs does not have a any problems. In fact, the printing is a little better than the old win 98 drivers, which would constantly crash some laptops.

Hope this helps.
