: Hi,
: I have Autocad 2000 and an old Draftmaster RX plotter. It has been a great plotter since I purchased it and still works fine even on 15 foot long full size plots. The upshot is I'd like to keep using it Here's the problem. I have never been able to get R2000 to work with it properly althought it is a supported plotter according to autodesk.

: When I first got the new version of Autocad 2000(I've bought every version since R2.8) I spent hours trying to make it work. Ultimately I called and paid autodesk $60 to have them tell me that they didn't know. Subsequently I purchased about $200 worth of aftermarket drivers which I also couldn't make worse. I went through rolls of paper and finally just gave up. For years I have back loaded my files to an old verision of R14 when I need to plot. Guess what? That works fine.

: When I use R2000 here is what seems to happen. It will plot one drawing fine. As I spool multiple drawings, however, I run into problems and it is not predicatable. Sometimes I can run two or three drawings fine, and then the next one won't spool up. The following drawing, therefore, plots on top of the last one that was plotted.

: I don't know if it is a timeout issue, an end of plot statement or what. I have played with some of these options. The bottom line, however, is that I can't plot with R2000 and I am not comfortable buying an even newer version of the software which may fix the problem or just as likely may make it worse.

: Has anyone had any similar problems or better still have they found the solution. Again R14 and every previous version of Autocad have worked just fine.

: Thanks for the help
: chuck
