Joe / Jeff,
The pinouts are in fact on the HP site. go to their support page and search for 7475a win98 , or just go here :
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/plotters/support_doc/bpp01379.html

I'm trying to fire one up with win98...haven't had much luck yet, because of the lack of a port speed setting in win98, but we'll see. If either of you (any of you) have an idea about how to get the plotter to work with win98, email me at nospam.admin@stmyer.com (remove the nospam. before emailing)

thanks, and good luck.

: joe, i hae an hp7475 plotter with a manual and there is no apparent way to connect the two. I made a cable that connected my com port to the old serial port on the plotter, nothing happend. IF you want to try making a cable i suggest going to radio shack, you can buy the to connectors and the cable, the pin conversions can be found on the net (look for 9 pin serial to 25 pin serial) IF you get it to work email me, id love to get mine working too!
