At our company we use a Minolta Di620 for the purpose of printing our test booklets. In the past we used to simply copy a test booklet when we need a new batch printed out. However recently we started numbering our test booklets. To accomplish this we use a visual basic program to modify a field in an MS Word document, and then send the print job to a fiery pi6200 print server to then be printed out on the Di620.

However , once the booklet is printed out to the finisher and slides out to the Bottom Offset Tray, the printer will not start the next print job until the booklet is removed. This becomes tedious as each booklet must be removed before the next one prints, and in a batch of 80 or so booklets a person is required to hover over the machine at all times.

Is there a setting that can be adjusted in either the di620 config or in the printer options that would allow the printer to go ahead and print out the next job while there is a document sitting on the bottom offset tray of the Di620?

Please let me know asap,
