Did you already solved your problem, because I have got the same problem. Please write me an email with your answer.

Jorrit

: I'm having problems getting my HP Deskjet 400 printer working with the supplied driver from Microsoft for use with XP (Home Edition).

: The printer woks fine on my old Windows 98 machine, but not on the new XP box.

: It prints about half a page or less then hangs and a windows error says simply 'Print unsuccessful'.

: I've tried loading the XP supplied Deskjet 300 and 600 drivers as well but with the same result. I've also tried the HP site for a download but it says that the only available drivers are included on the shipped XP disk - there are no others available.

: The printer is connected via LPT1 with the same cable etc as used on the old 98 machine.

: Any help would be much appreciated.
