: Does anyone know how to set up this printer as a Unix serial printer? Owners manual or instructions?

1) Plug the printer into the wall outlet and the
serial connection on the Unix machine.

2) Make sure you are using the recommended adapters for your system. This is ususally the most crucial aspect of it. If you use any other type of adapter, even if everything else seems to be configured correctly, it just won't work.

3) Define the printer on the Unix machine. This varies from machine to machine, I wish you had been more specific. Print out the settings for the printer and then on the unix machine configure your printer accordingly. You can try 7 - odd, dtr. ANd you can try 8 - none. It depends on what you are curently running.

4) Define a print Queue and associate it with the printer. I really think that's it. I've set these printers up on a few different flavors of Unix. Good Luck!
