: : i have digital camera mercury MODEL #VQ3240/3250/3260/3270/3280, but my PC , with OS-winoXp, is not able to see it when i attach it.please, help me to find driver for it.Thank's!!!!yasir

I had trouble installing regular camera drivers then I did the following (Win2k/XP). Be aware that the default installation drivers seem to make Win2k at least think that it's an ATAPI hard drive instead of a removable USB device!! Do this to get the regular camera working:

1) Uninstall the drivers that were provided if you put them in.
2) Provide a restore point in XP (in case you mess something up and need to fix it).
3) Go to My Computer, Control Panel, System, Hardware tab, and look for the Digicam Pro icon with a (!) next to it.
4) Click on it, then right click and hit properties, then go to the Drivers tab.
5) Select install, upgrade, or reinstall drivers (depending on what you see).
6) If you have your driver disk go to that and pick the folder with your version of Window's drivers in it for your camera. If not, tell Windows to select the best drivers for your device.
7) Make sure the "display other drivers" box is checked, then pick the Windows OEM drivers, **NOT** the Digicam drivers. This will make the camera behave like a removable USB drive, and you can at least access your pictures. There are probably generic web cam OEM drivers as well, install those if you are having problems with the CD drivers.

Also there is a web URLs you may want:

http://www.abico.com.tw/
Abico (Ability Enterprises Co. LTD in Taiwan, the maker)

There's also a US distributor named VisionQuest or something similar with some drivers. I can't find the URL I had for it before.

Good luck!
