I had the same problem, after a lot of searching I found a Linux site with information about the Intel Me2Cam, it uses the OV511+ chipset. OmniVision makes the driver for the chipset.
You can find the Windows 98, SE, 2000 at http://www.ovt.com/zips/driver_511.zip and the XP driver at http://www.ovt.com/zips/driver_511pxp.zip.
When you select the driver, you will get the message stating that the driver was not design for the device, but ignore the warning, it works perfectly.
