No you dont, honestly, the driver is provided by every OS ever written, if its not working try the cables to makesure nothings loose, then remove the drive in device manager and before you reboot so that it will be detected and configured, make sure its enabled in BIOS. If all else fails and you have one, turn your anti-virus off, some affect writing to floppies.Last of all go and buy a new one(they are standard), a computer fair will sell you one for a stonking 4 for a new one or 2 for a second.
