I've got a similar problem. Just assembled an 800Mhz PIII Intel Motherboard. Works fine with 256MB CPU RAM 133Mhz (1 DIMM). When I install the second DIMM (SAME) I get:
Fatal Exception Error OE at 0028:C004E0B1 in VxD
VCACHE(01) + 00000AD9 - Application Terminated.
I've done extensive testing w/256MB and this system is solid. I swapped the new DIMM module out twice...Could FRY's have given me two bad DIMMS ? I can't figure this out...
It seems Win98 will support 513Mb CPU RAM easily right ?
