Client machines aren't likely the problem. If you use PCI cards the 100Mb transfer can be supported.

But does your NETWORK support 100Mb bandwidth ?
You need specific media (Cat5 for 100BaseT minimum) and hubs/switches supporting up to 100M (if you use Ethernet) . If one of components doesn't support higher bandwidth the whole LAN can be critically affected by that ...
