: I am using Warplink. My host machine runs Win 98 and my client runs Win 2000. My host machine constantly freezes up and can only be rebooted by disconnecting the power supply and then restarting. Is there something that I can do to stop this? Thank you for your help.

Its probably not the Acer Warlink card that causes the problem. I have Warplink network with
Windows 2000 (2x Client), Windows NT 4 (host) and Windows 98 (client).

Have you checked the IRQ settings?
Sometimes it happends that the IRQ settings of 2 devices are equal.

My Advice I can give is to use another OS than Windows 98, since windows is unstable. I use Windows NT as host OS. Its more stable than windows 98. Cause I am limited to my hardware I can not have Windows 2000, but should be workin' fine too
