: : Has anyone had any success with this card?
: : I'm using BNC on a peer to peer network with 2 98se machines and can't even get the card to admit it's connected (even tho' using netbooey I've managed to print thro' another PC and view the shared folders!!).
: : Would a generic NE2000 combo card be a better bet?

: : Thanks.
: Hi i'm having the same problem.
: With w98 (seen as winbond card) and linux(seen as ne2000 comp), no problem. After installing XP, seems like UTP port is relevant, but i'm using the Thin Ethernet port. No solution (yet).

I am in the same boat. running XP pro. sees LNEPCI2 as winbond (but not connected). I have 2 other win98 pc's with the same card working fine over the peer to peer with thin ethernet. The PC with XP no luck yet.
