Answer:
Grab the DE528CT DOS driver from www.dlink.com
Run setup.exe
Set the card to Half-duplex,
10baseT TP/CX auto-detect.
Save. Reboot.

:
: I have a two-machine network, a Tulip card,
: a Realtek 8029(AS) card, and a 10Mbps hub.
: Everything works dandy in Windows. But in
: Linux... the Realtek card doesn't operate
: properly. I can "ping -f" to the Tulip all
: day, no packet loss, like mad. But wget or
: http access is ~10K/s and dodgy. SSH sessons
: freeze. It's definitely Linux-related:

: Realtek Tulip Result
: windows windows good (1MB/s)
: windows linux good (1MB/s)
: linux windows bad (10KB/s)
: linux linux bad (10KB/s)

: So I don't understand why ping works without
: packet loss at nearly 10,000 thousand packets a
: second. (That's ~500KB/s or so, I guess.)

: What gives???
