Use your xp installation disk. Go to the control pannel and select system. Select hardware then devise manager. Click on the grayed out multifunction card and install driver. Make sure to choose the manual driver selection mode. Don't let the xp choose your driver. It won't work. Select the 3com Etherlink III lan pc card (3c589b/3c589c). Restart your pc and you should have the working xp network card.
