: I'm trying to set up my Home Network with The Linksys BEFW11S4 DSL router and the WUSB11 adapter. I downloaded and then ran the 2.5 driver but it said i needed the original 1.1 or 1.2 driver. So I downloaded that and ran it but it gave me and uninstall propmt screen. So neither driver works. The problem is I can get the internet shared but can't establish a network with the two computers. I'm running on Windows XP also. Please help me, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

WUSB11 V1 in XP

The WUSB11 V1 does not have an antenna. There are 2 ways to load the drivers.

Installing with the 2000 drivers

1. With the device attached, go to device manager and uninstall the device, open up the original cd-rom and install the drivers, and restart.
2. Choose install automatically, and load the drivers and click finish, and restart the computer.
3. Open the config utility and configure the wireless settings.

Installing with the XP drivers

1. Download and extract the drivers to the C drive. Delete the device in device manager, and restart.
2. Choose install from a specific location and browse to the XP drivers folder. Make sure only specific location is selected. It will install the drivers, click finish. No restart required.
3. There is no Linksys config utility when you use the XP drivers, you must use the XP wireless utility.
4. Go to control panel, double click on the wireless LAN connection, check available networks. It should show linksys, and give you the option to connect.
