: I am trying to find out how much the adapter in this system is worth. I know very little about computers but think I got a decent deal on eBay. Am trying to break it down to see what it WOULD have cost had I been able to do the work myself. This is the description of the adapter that is given... 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter:
: 32-bit bus-master architecture delivers high throughput while reducing the load on the desktops CPU. Supports multiple NOS environments. 10/100 auto-negotiation supports mixed bandwidth....
: Is this any good? Average? Poor? And, what would it cost me to have bought this by itself?

: Incidentally, if you are interested in helping me determine the value of any of the other componenets of the system I won you can find it at the link I am pasting. The only thing I have found is the modem @ 22.00.

: Thanks in advance for your assistance.

As far as i know your 10/100 fast ethernet adapter costs around 20$ to 25$. Dlink adapters are quiet cheap. They are available in the range of 600 to 900 Rs.
