I probably wouldn't even bother w/ WinME. I've seen at least 2 of the Beta versions and it didn't look ALL that different that Win9x. Yes, it looks a little more in tune w/ Win2K, but that's it!

IE5.5 is currently Beta and can be downloaded off the "windows update" site (for '98 users) of all places. Look for it under "preview editions." I tried it but quickly reverted back to 5.01 when I discovered that sites like McAfee online clinic wouldn't work in 5.5!

Loss of good ol' DOS (LOL) was quite a shocker since I still make use of Dosmode to play old games and stuff. IF I decide to upgrade to WinME, I may create a small additional partition and install DOS 6.x on it for legacy stuff.

And as for support of Win98, it was 90 days from 1st call and then pay to play.
