I am new to this forum and not very tech savvy in general. I am just looking for some help from anyone who can provide it.

My problem is that I am trying to get hooked up with DSL, but am having a lot of trouble installing an Ethernet card and getting it to work.

I have a Hewlett Packard HP 6330 running Windows 98. The card I bought is a 3com 3C905C Fast Ethernet network interface card. Every time I install the drivers for this card, my computer locks up on first restart. I have followed the directions provided and also tried using the updated (5.2) driver available on their site, but can't seem to get around this. HP and 3com tech support have tried, but been very little help.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Does anyone know a "fix"? Please email me at losercore076@hotmail.com. I thank you very much for your help.
