I had a Netvin ne2000 clone working in my Win98SE-based PC. I replaced it with first a Corega then a Genius 10/100 card to improve throughput speed. Result is that these latter will only work when set manually to 10m-bit. All lights light, hub looks as though all is well, but no other computers on the network (which is mixed 10 and 100 mbit m/cs) can see this one, although they see each other perfectly. I've substituted different NICs, and even tried a different hub. All work perfectly in other configurations except when trying to talk to this box.

Help! I think the NetVin install (I no longer have either card or disk as I sold them on) has overwritten a driver, dll, or some such and it's being used by the 100 mbit cards in some strange way which doesn't work.

Any advice gratefully received please!!!
