: : : Anyone know how to change the MAC address of a NIC Card(3com,etc) in a MicroSoft Windows Envir.(DOS,WINNT,ETC)
: : : I see that UNIX/LINUX has a fairly easy way to do it but can't sweem to find much info in the MS Envir. (I tried the DOS setup program for a 3com NIC but couldn't see any way to change it
: : Hi, I'm Torsten from Germany. It is not possible
: : to change the MAC-(Hardware-)adress of a NIC, because every MAC adress exists ones in the world.
: : c.u.

: Oh yes, itīs possible, depending on the OS and the NIC.
: Under most Unix-Systems, including Linux, you can change the HW- MAC address of any network adapter!
: Under Windows itīs possible for D-Link- and a few 3COM- models !

Yep, sure is..under win 98 you right click your network icon on your desktop and choose config..then right click on your networkcard symbol and choose andvanced
if you can see networkadress there then its changable..otherwise try download the latest drivers to your card..sometimes you can change the adress after that.
And then just type in the numbers you want
